Lyle Haller was born in Merritt BC Canada in 1961 with five siblings  welcoming him home, one more brother would come a year and half later.

Lyle was a class clown for the school years, but life got in the way and Lyle and school parted paths early.

As a teen Lyle hopped freight trains across Canada on a dare and was responsible for several of his mothers gray hairs.

He made it back to Merritt that same summer and found work in some of the lumber mills in the Nicola Valley but that couldn’t hold him still.

Needing something, but not sure what he searched for more creative outlets in Vancouver. With his family’s support and blessing, he tried his best to break into Stand-up Comedy.

He found after a couple tries, he just had no use for the big city and moved to Vancouver Island to stay with his oldest brother Roger, author of "Guardian of the One."

There, Roger opened up the world of community theater and shoved him in. Soon he was performing as the romantic lead in a sold out melodrama called “Lilly the Felon’s Daughter.”

As much fun as this was, the Thompson / Nicola Valley was pulling and homesick, Lyle moved to Merritt’s big brother, Kamloops BC and became a DJ at a nightclub for the next four years. Although this was a great time, it still wasn’t the magic Lyle needed.

After the nightclub sold he moved back to Merritt and bounced from one menial job to another until it became painfully obvious, his deepest interests all pointed to the fact that he should have stayed in school.

Lyle enrolled at the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT) in Merritt at the age of 43.

With A pluses in all his English classes including English literature he found his Muse waiting and words, thoughts and ideas have begun flowing to paper.
